We hope you will be able to join us at our next SDAFA meeting to be held: Friday, September 13 from 12 noon to 3:00 pm (Light lunch included!) San Diego City College in room MS-123.
Lunch will be served at 12 noon with the discussion and program following immediately after.
SDAFA will be holding an open discussion of part-time faculty issues in the Academic Senate for candidates campaigning for the position of City College Academic Senate Adjunct Faculty Officer. This is a paid position and City College generally takes progressive positions on faculty equity. All candidates are invited to come and discuss adjunct issues.
After the Academic Senate discussion, there will be presentations covering:
- Planning for future retirement
- Faculty organizations (FACCC, CPFA, SDAFA)
- Salary advancement
- Ideas for increasing your income in and out of your teaching field
- Adjunct office hours and more
After the meeting, we will all adjourn to the Punch Bowl just a few blocks away at 1485 E St, San Diego, CA 92101 for Happy Hour!
