Jim Mahler released his tentative Contract Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for the San Diego Community College District (SDCCD), and it’s an overall win for adjuncts!
- No more Chairs and Deans trying to scare us out of applying for job security (PoA); automatic
- Our PoA wait-time goes down from 8 semesters back to 6
- The ability to file grievances when our PoA is abused
- A chance to decide who our Chair will be
- Getting paid for committee work?
- Sabbaticals?
What about having the 67% rule for working hours changed to 80%? Do you know if there is any movement on this?

The AB 897 was moved out of the Assembly’s Appropriations Committee today….now it goes to the Assembly floor!…then on to the Senate’s side.
