A promising writer-turned-adjunct college professor grapples with the harsh reality of being undervalued and disposable in academia. As he confronts mounting disillusionment, he must chart a new path forward. Ron Najor is best known as the producer of Short Term 12 and I Am Not a Hipster. Adjunct marks his feature directorial debut, inspired by his real-life experiences in higher education at SDSU. His work has been recognized at SXSW, Sundance, and most recently at Cannes (2025).
